IXORA ODORATA - FRAGRANT IXORA - Native to Madagascar, this tropical shrub, rather rare and seldom for sale, is highly fragrant. The hugh 10" booms emerge as pinkish white, maturing to cream. Flowers several times a year, most heavily in spring to summer. Mature size is 4-5' tall in frost free areas. Can be a great houseplant, container grown. Likes filtered light to shade, warmth, acid soil, and to be well drained. Hardy zone 10. Evergreen broad shiny green leaves. Highly fragrant. We grow and ship in 4" pots.
