ERYTHRINA HERBACEA - CORAL BEAN - CARDINAL SPEAR - CHEROKEE BEAN - MAMOU BEAN - A Florida native plant growing 3-4' tall, likes sun to part shade and great for dry climates. This flowering shrub produces spikes of striking tubular red flowers in late spring to summer. Attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Likes well drained soil. Foliage is mid green and leaves are three lobed. The bright red seeds are poisonous. Hardy zone 8-10. We grow and ship in 4" pots.
