Columnea hirta . Their trailing stems are covered with small red hairs. Their velvety leaves are dark green in color and ovate in shape. The profuse tubular flowers are orange to red-orange in color. They are 8 cm (3.1 in) in length and bloom all throughout the year. This plant prefers regular watering, steady temperature, humid conditions, and bright shade to shade. Soil should be well-drained. In the wild, this is a favorite of hummingbirds and pollinators. A tropical variety, it makes an excellent houseplant. We grow and ship in 3" pots. Known by some as goldfish plant.
