CISTUS MICKIE - This stable variegated form of Cistus hybridus has a low, mounding habit that hugs the ground and creates a super colorful, evergreen colorspot. 'Mickie' hails from northern Washington State and has survived some brutal winters. Charming white flowers punctuate the flashy foliage in May and June. Grows up to 18" in sunny locations. Hardy zone 8-10. Evergreen mounding shrub with opposite ovate leaves that are dark grey-green and crinkly. In early to late spring appear the flowers, emerging from red-tinted buds at the tips of the branches opening to 1 1/2 inch wide flowers of a pure white with yellow spots at the petal base and bright yellow stamens.
